A Book Lover’s Paradise: Why Toward the Corner of Mercy and Peace Should be on Your Reading List

Hello Lovelies, Get ready to experience a delightful mix of laughter and heartwarming moments from A Book Lover’s Paradise Review as Minerva grapples with the unavoidable fragility of the human experience in this book — Toward the Corner of Mercy and Peace by Tracey D. Buchanan. My friend, Lisa, who happens to be friends with Tracey, introduced this book to me, and I’m so happy she did. Tracey is a superb writer, and a lovely person. I had an opportunity to chat with her after launching my book and she was quite generous with her experience as an author.

I’m drawn to quirky characters, and Tracey does not disappoint with the well-developed character of Minerva Place, who lives in the small town of Paducah, Kentucky. She prefers that everyone be concerned with their own affairs and leave hers alone. Minerva is a rule follower of the utmost kind and expects the same from the rest of those around her. Problems start for her when residents from the local cemetery show up unexpectedly, leading her to question her sanity. Then, new neighbors—a six-year-old boy and a single father—move in and disturb her otherwise quiet and orderly life. Although she dismisses their advances for friendship, they won’t give up. She is shaken to the core by a tragic accident just as she is beginning to let her guard down. With wisdom and lessons from the living and the dead, she discovers that we all deserve love regardless of our past regrets or present stumbles.

I loved this book, and I hope you will, too. Let us know!
